Pina colada beer?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Apparently this is what happens when you half fill a bomber on bottling day and leave it for a few months. It tasted worse than it poured.

If only that had been a Playboy Mag, under the horse, the picture would have been perfect.

Haven't forgotten how to make decent beer!

Gravity sample from my first Calgary brew, a Columbus heavy Pale Ale. Tasting great (if not a bit higher on the bitterness, that'll mellow with some carb I think). Now to dry hop with a couple oz and keg on the weekend!

This is a pic of a beer wine blend jointly made between my dad and myself. 75% my Cherry Wheat beer and 25% of a German white wine my dad made. Really excited to explore more beer wine combinations. Next challenge is to brew them together.

Intresting. How did it taste?

Would you use a wine or ale yeast?

Sandy
