Weird smell from new beer hose?

Just got a two tap tower from OBK. Rinsed the lines with Starsan, but didn't otherwise clean them. Pulled off a sample glass and there was a definite farty aroma. Pulled another and it was gone. Tried the other tap and same thing. I had poured a bit off before and didn't notice anything, so I am wondering if they're picking up an aroma from sitting in the line. Anyone have any issues with new line/fixtures and off smells? Should I have more thoroughly cleaned them before installing?

Yeah likely your getting the "made in China " taste at the beginning.
Oh and it also proves you are in a serious relationship when you post your wife as being the Dog!
