i am looking at planting some hop rhizomes and was wondering if anyone knew of a place around Halifax that sold them or if I had to order them online.

I think you might need to get them online. There are some places in the province that sell them though IIRC.

I'm working on an organic hop farm in NB right now, and if you want rhizomes all you gotta do is come dig them up! they are cutting back on the siz of the farm so there are lots of fuggles and nugget roots and maybe even some cascades and mt hoods.

search Happy Hop Yard, send them a message if you are interested

I'd be curious to see if these would flower...and what they'd produce...

Wikipedia is your friend.
A pale, ornamental variety, Humulus lupulus 'Aureus', is cultivated for garden use. It is also known as golden hop, and holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
So, it'll probably flower, and it'll probably do nothing for your beer.

Heh.. hope the 'hops' I'm getting from this random person aren't the same variety.

Will snap some pictures of the leaves and hope the experts on here can fill me in.
