Rocket fuel

In our most recent kit batch of brewing a buddy of mine went a little crazy with the table sugar in an IPA. He also made some "hop tea" in a hope of balancing out whatever increase in ABV he saw.

Fast forward a week and now his beer is very hoppy and approximately 10% ABV, but with very little body. Is there anything that can be done to balance out the flavour prior to bottling? We're looking into back-sweetening but don't really know if it's the right thing to do.

I'd say your best bet is to brew another batch and blend.
