Unwanted batch

So I started making Edwort's Apfelwein before Christmas. I made a 5gal batch, and following advice of the internet made another 5 gal batch a few weeks later. Apparently it's so delicious I'd have consumed it all shortly after carbonation. Turns out the internet is a poor predictor of what I find delicious. There are a dozen bottles left of the first batch (all of which are undercarbonated and still taste strongly of white wine rather than anything apple-related) and a PET carboy with the second batch still inside.
I will admit that this was my first attempt at brewing anything. I regularly opened the carboy during the first batch to sample, even long after airlock activity had stopped. Could the unpleasant taste be due to oxidization? Or will my second batch taste just as bad? I don't really want to hold up a keg or 40 bottles for a year until the second batch is palatable, but I can't really justify dumping it either. Is there something else I could do with it? I'd like my second carboy back.
