Has anyone seen any setups where people have outdoor lagering chambers?

Would an insulated box with a heat pad or something similar work?

I sometimes use a garbage bag with leftover pink insulation in it. Like, the pink insulation wraps around it, and the garbage bag keeps it dry. I think it keeps the temperatures fairly stable, but if there's a long cold snap, I'll have to bring them inside.

I was thinking for trying that with a 10 gal keg. No need to protect just need to make sure the blow off doesn't freeze.

I was thinking of building a small insulated box and hook up a heat belt to make sure it doesn't freeze.

I would think it's fine as long as it's got an airlock on it?

I wonder if an old school root cellar would work
building one is another story
