Bottle Caps and Yeast

Post by IanCompetent » Wed Dec 05, 2012 9:48 am

When the next grain pick-up happens, I will be bringing in 4 boxes of bottle caps to give away. I don't know exactly how many there is in a box, but my guess would be 5000-10000. If you can deal with the fact that all of your caps will have a lighthouse on them, then feel free to take a bunch. I have seven boxes, and honestly have no idea how in the hell I am even going to be able to use the remaining three.

Also up for grabs are a few Wyeast packets that I got in an order but haven't gotten around to using them. The six month period is almost up on them, and some are a bit over that, so they would probably have to be used fairly soon. They have been refrigerated at a pretty low temperature (around 1 degree celcius) since they were purchased, so they should still be usable. Here's what I have to offer, with the manufacturing date next to the yeast strain:

1056 American Ale (2012/07/10) - gone (Jayme)

3763 Roeselare (2012/07/31) - gone (Jayme)

2206 Bavarian Lager (2012/05/10) - gone (maltster)

2633 Octoberfest (2012/07/31) - gone (Dirt Chicken)

3944 Belgian Wit (2012/07/31) - gone (maltster)

2112 Cal Lager (2012/06/25) - gone (Dirt Chicken)

Just put a post on here for what you want and I'll bring them to the pick-up. Don't bother asking for a specific number of caps, though. Just bring a bag and take what you want from the boxes. :rockin:

I should also add that I gave up my slots on the hop contract so if any of you guys want my order, feel free to take them. I believe that I was down for one pound each of Cascade, Columbus and Centennial. - now filled!!!

Eh I'm interested in the octoberfest and cal lager, as well as the cascade and some of the last lighthouse caps please!

Talk to Rob (mr. x) about the hops. He said that there were about 4 lbs left that were up for grabs. That's about as much control as I have over that portion of the deal.

Consider the Octoberfest and Cal Lager yours.

All those hops are accounted for and that order is closed.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I'd like the 2206 lager and the Belgian wit.

I'll take the 1056 and Roeselare if they're not spoken for! I'd also love some caps as well - I'll bring my bag to the p/u.
