Dark Room Brew

About to start my first batch, but was curious: will having it in a dark place, like a closet, have any negative effect on it? Was going to just stick it in a dark closet while it was in the bucket, than carboy. Probably even bottles too. Clean closet, no other foodstuffs around of course.

Any feedback appreciated :cheers2:

Dark is good! Light is one of the causes of "skunky" beer. Its why most bottles are dark brown.
But the bucket will keep it dark as well, so more importantly, is it a cool closet?

As Stu sayd, Dark=good.

Check the temp of the closet. Your beer will ride a little warmer than the room temp.

What are you making?

Keep it dark and you'll hit it out of the park. Thought of that one all by myself. :cheers2:

Thanks guys!
Closet will be cool, away from heaters and that, basement.
Nothing special, will just be a feastabrew oatmeal stout kit. We all gotta start somewhere :cheers3:

Thanks again!
