Now I realize this is not the beer most people on here try to replicate. I like all different types of beer, not much on the blues, canadian etc. I have a couple ipa's on hand so I want to brew up a lawnmower beer and have always sort of liked Alpine and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks and cheers
Bobby

No shame in Alpine as a guilty pleasure.
Some beer experts in Toronto seem to think this North American lager is pretty good:

Sorry, no help on the recipe here.
3 cheers for Alpine though. Most bars and restaurants stock it so i can at least drink something when out with the wife and less likely she'll have to endure another "crap beer selection" rant.

I bet Emma can relate to her on that one.

Oddly enough, Nicole was having a conversation about beer with one of her co-workers over night shift. She was having trouble (tactfully) getting the point across that she enjoys beer that has flavor so in trying to find some common ground she says "though I do quite enjoy Alpine, that is a good beer." Her co-worker exclaims "Woa, that's strong beer! That's a man's beer!"

Krista has gotten to the point now that she quickly scans the beer list on the menu and preemptively mentions the shitty beer selection before I have a chance to rant.

Good strategy.

My girlfriend Jillian came home to the other day and relayed a conversation she'd had with an much older co-worker, who was ranting about craft beer, and how it was all marketing, and all beer tasted the same, etc. She spent a while lecturing him on styles, and at the end of the day he came up on his own and excitedly proclaimed that he'd been thinking about it, that maybe she was right, and he'd had a great idea: " we should have a night where we try all sorts of beers!" So, I've created an ambassador. Long live significant others and their support for beer!!!

Bah, I can taste no difference between Alpine and any other mega brew. Well other than subtle differences. They all taste good to me.
I had a Storm Raspberry Wheat tonight... wasn't too bad.. a bit watery but the amount of Raspberry flavour wasn't strong enough to
over whelm the beer taste. By far Mikes best effort to my memory on this beer.

The thing about Alpine as opposed to other mega swills that i find, it has a bit of a malty flavor. Although some cases do and some don't, must depend on time of the month lol. Anyhoo maybe someone has an idea, time for football, have a great night.
