I've been asked to brew "Something Like Nash's Brown Ale From the RB" (exact quote).

I know he will chime in but what do you guys think?

This is what I normally do for 40l:
15 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 40L
1lb. American crystal 70-80L
.5 lb. American chocolate
2 oz. Roasted barley
2 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (aroma)

I know this is nowhere near Nash's.

I stole Nash's brown recipe when I helped him brew the latest batch so I can sell it to you for $18.20.

I'm not sure why you'd want to brew a malt-bomb but to each their own. You need to be uber-careful when making beer this way, there's absolutely no hops to cover the flaws. So yeah, be very careful

Something like this might get you in the ballpark ...

18 IBUs
No aroma hopping
13.5 P OG
Mash @ 152 f
ferment @ 62 f US-05
5.5 % ABV

Pale Ale 77.11%
Carapils 2.49%
Carastan 7.46%
Chocolate 2.49%
S Aromatic 3.48%
Kiln Coffee 3.48%
Kiln Amber 3.48%

Clone that shit and give me samples :spilly:
