Hey all,
I've currently got a plastic Fermentasaurus. It's starting to show its age and is a pain to clean. I'm thinking of buying a stainless steel fermenter.
So couple questions:
1) pros and cons of plastic vs SS?
2) which SS?
3) if you do use SS and use a Tilt hydrometer, how is the signal?
thanks
Chris

Re: Stainless Steel fermenters?
I have a 7 gallon anvil crucible that I would part with if you are interested. Only about 4 Batches of beer through it, I have 2 all rounders that I use, so it's collecting dust. $200 comes with a few extras for yeast harvesting and oxygen free transfers.
Kegged - Cold IPA, NEIPA, Fieldberry Wheat, Dark Abbey Ale, Apple Pear Cider, American Lager, American Stout, Belgian Wit

Re: Stainless Steel fermenters?
I've used a Tilt in my 3G and 7G SS Brewtech stainless fermenters, no issues, but my Tilt-Pi setup is directly outside the fermenter so no signal issues.
