Easy To Clean A Fermonster

Post by McGruff » Thu Apr 22, 2021 7:57 am

Just kegged my Kolsch and cleaned my fermonster for the first time. Easy as hell. No scrubbing, no oxiclean etc. Just a cloth and warm water. My other 3 plastic carboys are reserved for wine. Took me long enough to get aboard.

They’re easy to top crop yeast out of too!

I use and recommend Speidel plastic fermenters, expensive but the ultimate quality with a huge airlock. (No need for blowoff tube)

I didn't know they had plastic fermenters. Just took a look and they look pretty good. The only thing about the fermonster fermenter is when they are full, hard to move around with no handles. You have to watch to not put a permanent. dent in the side when moving them around too.
