Substitute for SafLager[emoji769] W-34/70

Post by LeafMan66_67 » Sun May 17, 2020 10:12 am

Hi Folks,

I usually brew most of my lagers with SafLager W-34/70. With Everwood out of the picture, it's a bit tougher to come by locally.

Looking through Noble Grape's offerings I yeast, I see Mangrove Jack M84 Bohemian Lager yeast. Has anyone had any experience with it? How did the beer turn out?

I haven’t used that one, but I have a Vienna lager waiting to be kegged that I used their Bavarian lager yeast for, I’ll comment back when that’s ready. I’ve used their ale yeasts a fair bit and have been happy with them too.

Give Jeremy Taylor at 2 Crows a shout he’s got some W34-70 slurry for home brewers.
