That's nuts!! Who knows what they were brewing. I can't imagine that could even happen with careless use of sanitation chemicals (bleach).

Likely some mistruth going on. SA has very strict alcohol laws, could be the story is being pushed to scare people away from making their own at home

Yeah that was my thought too. The story's more about how it's the law's fault and not about the deaths. Fake news!
