manifold or braided stainless hose?

I have been using my cooler mash tun with a grain bag i sewed, but it is too heavy to hold up and let drain properly. so i'm looking to replace it with a typical drain system - either a manifold (possibly CPVC) or a stainless steel braid. Anyone here have a preference?

We use all of the above in different tuns: copper manifold, SS manifold and SS braid. I don't think we've every had a stuck mash with the SS braid (which is made "crush-resistant" by adding some hose clamps and other spacers inside), and it drains nicely, and is our number one choice. Just need to keep it on the bottom, to minimize liquid loss.
The SS manifold (single 1/2" tube bent into a U with slots cut out of it) has also been quite good.

I use the SS braid and coil a piece of copper wire into a spring and insert that into the braid to keep it from going flat.
Been using the same one for 5 years now without a stuck sparge.

Thanks for the offer Sandy, but I think I'll pass - I have to get some plumbing stuff for the through wall anyway, and I'm leaning towards a braided hose

these sound like great ways to prevent it from collapsing - thanks for the tips
you've definitely swayed me towards the ss braid

None that I know of - the bottleneck is still going to be the spout at the end. However, mine runs 2/3 to 3/4 the length of my tun.
