Port Barrel Aged Beer

I've got a 9 gallon barrel that's had port aging past 5 years. Time to get it bottled in the next 6 months or so. Before committing the barrel to the BBQ, I'm thinking of aging some beer in it. I'm thinking of an English Barley Wine or RIS. Any suggestions?

Both would work well I’d say. I’m personally a bigger RIS fan so I’d go that route. Good luck!
