Hello guys and Gals

My name is David

I am Co Founder of Fredericton Craft Brewing Association (http://www.craftbrewing.ca" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
Ive been brewing for roughly 3 years now I started out doing all grain beers
I like to frequent brewing sites as much as I can as good information is hard to come by !!!
I have not brewed in 4 months due to a move to attend school I had to sell off all my brewing equipment but once my student loan comes in I plan on brewing again

Have any of you used Summit hops as my first brew will be an IPA consisting of

Cascade, Amarillo, Simcoe & Summit

But alot of people seem to say Summit gives off an Onion/Garlic aroma or flavor and others report that it gives off strong tangerine like qualitys

Any feed back on hopping scheduals to avoid this onin/garlic flavor would be appreciated

:welcome: glad to hear your going to be getting back into brewing soon. I'm in the Summit gives off Onion/Garlic flavor. My only experience was dumping close to 200grams in at flame out on an IPA and I didn't really like the outcome.

I've used it and not had the onion thing. I sometimes wonder if it is the source of the hop that is the issue - terrior, fertilization, etc....
