Well now, that seems more inline with the software.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

That number might be correct if your software using a little lower utilization rate than the 30% we're assuming, is that the case?

NASH wrote:Your math is correct.

In your software add a new hop to the database @ 37.2 AA. Plug that into your recipe using the same utilization rate as you normally would. Looks like you changed the utilization of the existing hop from 30% to 37.2%?
Actually, now that I think about it.....

Since the AA is not isomerized as initially thought, the utilization rate will apply to the hash as well. That changes things, a lot.

Soooooo...... the hash is just a concentrated hop pellet, maybe about a T30

I would do something like this for math:

36g x .14aa / .372aa = 13.548g should be the real number :rockin:

Everything is now is inline with this new break through

Hahaha! My fault for being stuck in isomerized-land! Yarrrr...

Transmitted from the Hop-phone.
