Re: Random brewing pics
Graham, they are 25cm X 34cm. I just weighed one that is pretty much stuffed full and it weighed 7lbs 4oz.Graham.C wrote:Canuck, what size are those Tupperware containers and how much do they hold?canuck wrote:

Re: Random brewing pics
Are they ziplock brand or just no-name? Where did you pick them up, that is a good size as I typically buy my specialty grains in 5# batches.

Re: Random brewing pics
They are actually just no name and I purchased them from the local dollar store. I actually have 29 of them now with various specialty grains in them. lolGraham.C wrote:Are they ziplock brand or just no-name? I'll check my local store but any chance you know which store you got them at? I'll be in Moncton this weekend.canuck wrote:They are actually just no name and I purchased them from the local dollar store. I got them at the Dollarama in Quispamsis. I'm assuming that Moncton has a Dollorama as well, don't they?Graham.C wrote:Never mind, I keep thinking your in Moncton but your not and tapatalk doesn't display location. My bad.

Blueberry lambic. Two left, cherry and plain. Then that's it I think.

Fucking domino disaster today. Had a cider bottle explode. Caused the festa brew box to weaken which had my glass carboy on top. As soon as I walked into my room the glass carboy fell down and shattered.

Re: Random brewing pics
I did. Not much fruit flavour AFAIAC, but it was a small sample. I'd like to try a commercial bottle, but don't know of many. Maybe there is a reason for that......

Re: Random brewing pics
Sounds pretty in line with what I've read, they're supposed to give a lovely color but the flavor can be tough to get right I guess. The only real blueberry lambic I'm aware of is Cantillon Blabaer, unfortunately it's nearly impossible to find a bottle. Been on the hunt for years, they're out there but usually command a huge price.
I'm trying to decide what fruit I'm going to use for my last lambic, you'll have to let me know how it works out when they're carbed. Leaning towards apricot at the moment.

Shined up my keg with a paint stripper disc. Just ordered some polishing compound to get a mirror finish.

Re: Random brewing pics
The Cantillon blueberry lambic is supposed to be fantastic (no surprise), but it's pretty much impossible to get in North America. Unless you're willing to fork over a hell of a lot of money and buy it on eBay.mr x wrote:I did. Not much fruit flavour AFAIAC, but it was a small sample. How much blueberry did you rack the beer onto, anyway?
