Looking forward to it. It's fun brewing on that scale. I'm kid free tomorrow so taking advantage of it. Prepping for a double brew day.

DOA-ish citra SMaSH DIPA. Once it's on tap hopheads will have to drop by for a pint because by the time I drink 19 litres of 8.x% it won't be fresh. Bottling a bit of it for the exchange but still - as a guy who normally drinks a keg full of 4-6% beer in three weeks im worried the DIPA might age past its prime, especially since I'll have an Irish dry stout being kegged just days before.

Putting together an English bitter today. I was inspired by a recipe that I hacked down for the 'session' exchange. MO instead of 2-row, crystal 30 instead of 15, a pinch of pale chocolate, and a slightly smaller bittering charge. The goal is something light, tasty, and can be consumed in large quantities.

Then I added 2lbs of grain to the spent grain...and 30l of heated water and mashed again...got a nice 5gal batch of 1.050 cascade ale...

That will be a tasty beer, I love citra. Make sure you post in the grainfather thread to let everyone know how your brewery went.

Damn that is a lot of hops. How much of that goes in the kettle?
