I've done this...I've also added flat propeller ginger ale to a keg to get some of that nice kick
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

What was your verdict on the keg hopping? 1-lbs per corney...?

I did 8oz with good results, it def brought up the ginger level. Mine was a lemon ginger wit though so for a complete ginger beer a lb sounds right.

Fuck it, I'll go another 1.5-2lbs. Slice it up razor thin in a mandolin, maybe even dry hop with hops too...

Damn I'm missing those long keg bags from NCM now.... :x

Well, it's 1.012. Not sure what to make of this. It's got a bit of ginger bite on the nostrils, but could use just a bit more, so I'm loading up the keg with a mesh bag full of ginger. To top off this adventure, I lost the keg bag chalmers loaned me, which was to replace my keg bag which I also lost...

I can just me bifting the whole carboy into the East river.... :lolno:
