Re: Blueberry ale recipe?
Thanks! Liverdance and I both have the same one. I've been very happy with it and have been really tempted to pick up another one. Dammit, when does the spending end with this hobby??? lolGAM wrote:I love that conical.

Re: Blueberry ale recipe?
Just tapped the keg of my Blueberry Ale made with 5lbs of blueberries and poured my first pint. The aroma and taste of blueberries is definitely there, but by no means over powering. It turned out to be a great beer! Since this was my first pint out of the keg, you can actually see some of the skins from the blueberries in my glass that found it's way into the keg. It definitely doesn't have that blueberry extract aroma/taste like Pumphouse, but a more natural blueberry taste.........if that even makes sense. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Looks great! And I definitely understand the "natural" aroma/taste you're talking about.

Fuck, this is quite similar to how non-artificial flavourings taste, ummm..... non-artificial

Re: Blueberry ale recipe?
Now that my Blueberry Ale has aged some, the profile has changed a little. The natural taste of the blueberries is more prominent than a couple of weeks ago. The taste is still quite subtle and light and I've really been enjoying it. Colour is also slightly darker now as well. I'll be making this recipe again, and the only thing I would change is adding at least 6lbs of blueberries instead of the 5lbs that I used this time around.
