I'm doing 10 gallons of Blonde Ale today and a 3 gallon Stout for the advent one night this week
Nova Prime Taproom
Tap 1: Festa Brew Scotch Ale
Tap 2:
"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

Mashed in at lunch on an all Vienna ale with Galena hops
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

In addition we are brewing up a 10gal batch of German Alt, and a 10gal batch of a Citra Hefe' (tettnager at 60min, citra at 10min).

so the Oktober fest beer menu is

Helles
Kolsch
Alt
Steinbier
German Pilsner
Citra Hefe'

hmmmm...6 beers, but only 5 taps (3 on the fridge, 2 on the jockey box)...I guess this is a good problem to have

Going back to Conan for a bit. Came the same time as yours Keith, but cheaper to have it shipped here than drive to your place.

Making a double batch of Black IPA tomorrow night. Bringing a few growlers to Hoptoberfest. Measuring out the grain and milling tonight. I got my hands on some midnight wheat malt and Carafa II. I am going to hop it up to a 127 ibu's with Simcoe, Northern Brewer, Columbus and Centennial. Can't wait to brew this one. I'm hoping to get it around 7.5%.

I've got tonnes of Carafa II Special, Carafa III, and Midnight Wheat here is you're ever in need. Brew on!

Part one of a five part series. I'm brewing the same recipe (munich dunkel) five times and using five yeast strains to see the difference. The recipe is 1:1 munich and 2-row with 1/4 pound of carafa III special for colour. The yeast will be wlp036 dusseldorf alt, wlp006 Essex, Conan, wlp940 Mexican lager (I think this one should be true to style) and last and sort of least wlp644 brett trois. The last one will be a mini batch.

Brewed a 5gallon APA with 2lb of wet hops added in the last 10 mins... Would have liked more, but it would have been even more of a pain to transfer to primary. should have though about that before I tried to siphon it. Ended up poured it through a sanitized grain bag. Crossing my fingers it didn't pick up any lacto or whatever.
planning: beer for my cousin's wedding
Fermenting: black ipa
Conditioning:
Kegged: barrel barleywine from 2014 - i think i still have this somewhere
