Clearing snow off the deck - getting ready for an Irish Red.

What a morning! Sun coming up, birds singing and the neighbors little dogs (3 or 4) won't stop barking!

Citra IPA last thursday - Efficiency went out the window... I should have mashed longer -- will likely be 5.6% and not the target 7.3%. I ended up not hopping it as much as planned because of this. Perhaps it would be classed as an APA instead? :) I'm sure it'll still be tasty though.

Robust Porter yesterday -- hit my target OG dead on. Looking forward to it!

We may have to arrange a homebrew trade for that one!

Brewing up that hopslam clone. Mashed în at 10:45pm for a overnight mash
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I brewed an iipa with the one you gave me and it did an awesome job keeping hop debris out of the wort but I found it very hard to drain the wort out of so I ended up dumping the contents of the bag in my bucket.

That's what I figured with that material, though that's what RobD has been using (AFAIK).

We can probably gear one up like the one in the pic Jamie posted, if you want to try that. You're using the OBK 15g pot, right? Jamie has been the only one to try it out, and only did a bitter with it the first time around.
