any place to buy a Aluminum Co2 Cylinders

Post by Natebc » Tue Feb 18, 2014 11:16 pm

Hello,

I'm new to this form. I'm in Coquitlam BC and I'm looking for the best place to buy a 10 lbs or 20 lbs Aluminum Co2 Cylinder?

Thanks
Natebc

https://www.everwoodavebrewshop.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in Hammonds Plains (Halifax) or noble grape. Everwood is a cheaper but noble grape has an exchange program for refilling and just swapping tanks.

I ordered my kit from Everwood

If it has the transport Canada stickers on on you won't have a problem. With out the sticker you may potentially have issues, but others have transported them back fine as long as they are empty...no guarantee unless they are marked though

The tank will need to have the TC and DOT numbers stamped into the aluminum at the top of the tank. It will have the DOT (the US certification) if it was made in the US, but make sure it has the TC stamp too. If it doesn't the places around here that we use to fill the tanks won't touch it.

Even if you get a tank in the US or at Noble you should look into this thread (http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=75" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) for places to get it filled, it's half the price of the trade in and Simplex does while you wait (about 5 min). In unrelated news I'll have new stock of 5 lb tanks in a couple of weeks (they should be shipping this week).

Hey Nate, since youre in BC, we won't have much info on local options. The online stores would work though, everwood ave and ontariobeerkegs. I dont know anything about buying it in the US but the other guys have given you some info there.
planning: beer for my cousin's wedding
Fermenting: black ipa
Conditioning:
Kegged: barrel barleywine from 2014 - i think i still have this somewhere
