Pay It Forward

Post by moxie » Fri May 31, 2013 2:56 pm

Thread-jacked from HBT, if you don't know the rules, they are as follows:

Members offer the items they don’t need or aren't using anymore to give to another member. In addition, after members are selected to get something they are encouraged to pay it forward by offering up items they have that they don't need anymore.

1) You can give as much as you want, if items are being shipped, the giver pays shipping.

2) You can only pick one item. If the giver has multiple items it is up to his/her discretion whether they want the items to go to one or more people. If you request an item but don’t get it you can try for another item.

3) No requests for specific items. This is just stuff that we are not using and hopefully can go to a good home.

4) You can only request the item in a reply post. No PM's or emails. Just post in this thread and the giver will PM you and ask for your address. The first person to post about the item gets it.

5) NO beer/wine/mead/cider giveaways. This is not a trading thread, this is strictly for homebrew items and equipment.

6) Once your item is gone, please edit your post with who it went to. In bold put the name of who the item has gone to at that it is "GONE".

That drip tray would be nice to have...

I'm still very new at brewing (17 months), so I haven't stockpiled gear yet...sadly the only thing I have to trade is beer...and I know #5 said no beer trades

The filter pump I want. Not the filter.

What you want?

I like the bottles. Too bad I live so far away. I wonder if they will hold higher pressure for my Belgians? Weren't the older bottles thicker than the ones we have today?

I wouldn't use them for Belgians.

Hey Keggermeister,

If McGruff doesn't get the bottles, we'd be happy to have them. We're planning to make enough beer to keep ourselves in good supply and to also have enough for Kirsten's grandfather on a regular basis. These bottles would be perfect for his supply. :)

We live in the Valley and aren't in the city a whole lot, but plan to come that way sometime this month or early next month. If you wouldn't mind holding onto them, we could grab them next time we're there.

If we find anything in our gear that we're not using, we'll add it to this thread. :)

:cheers2:

I have a bunch of bottles here for you ladies, wife is making me put them in a bag and in the shed (tired of looking at them). They are all mixed sizes but will do the job.

I also have a few plastic carboys and a hand capper (maybe some other stuff) if anyone wants them.

He didn't say that he wanted them, so they are yours. They are in need of a good cleaning. I picked them up a few years ago and never used them. They are just in the way.
I live in Tantallon, so when you come from the valley, it may be quicker to take the #12 to Chester and hit the 103. PM me for my address.

Thanks,
Nick

I've got a black, size L Brewnosers hoodie. It went through the dryer and now fits like a Medium. It was worn twice.

Any takers?
