Beersmith Question

Post by GillettBreweryCnslt » Thu May 30, 2013 9:07 pm

Hey Everyone,

So I recently went through all of my ingredients and updated quantities and costs. Is there anyway to update the recipes now so that the new costs/colors/misc info get updated in my recipes?

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave, I think unfortunately you would have to open each recipe and delete and re-enter each ingredient, same as when you change a mash profile or equipment profile and keep the same name for the profile. The recipe holds on to the old version until the profile is re-selected within the recipe. You probably knew that any way and hoping for a shortcut, I don't think there is one, but maybe someone knows better.

There is an 'Update prices' button to the far right under the picture of the pint. I just tried editing costs and clicking it and it updated fine.

Unfortunately, does not appear that updating info updates on the recipes. Rather than deleting, you can just substitute for your updated ingredient (just tried that as well). Still tedious, but at least you shouldn't delete something and then forget to re-add it.
