How long does kegged beer last in a bottle

Post by Cheesehead » Sat Mar 23, 2013 1:27 pm

I'm looking to bottle a few beers from my kegerator in order to give away. How long will it list in a bottle after having CO2 applied in a keg? I know I've recently read about this on the site but can't seem to find it...

It really depends on a lot of variables. Method, sanitation, temperature of storage...there really isn't a 'right' answer.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

It's not CO2 that you need to be concerned with; it's the O2 that will ruin your beer.

I have found that bigger beers last longer when bottled from the keg. My barley wine seems to be getting better every month.
