I made my own. Sewed by hand. It doesn't need to be pretty.

Re: carboy straps
I like the idea of Better Bottles for sure.. especially with the build in 'adjustable pick up tube valve' installed. But if one were to buy 2-3 of those you'd really have a lot invested. Mind you, sell the glass carboys and get some of the investment back. Group buy on Better Bottles (w/ valves) anybody? Jimmy, become a dealer!

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

I think home hardware sells them. Not sure if Walmart still has them or not.sleepyjamie wrote:Anyone know if Walmart still carries those Carboy carts?

haha exactly... bad things happen in cars too when you aren't paying attention... forget a pic of a damaged hand.. just take a peak at the highway dotted with make shift crosses every 20 yards... then playing with carboys doesn't seem so risky!!mr x wrote:Hey Jimmy, don't try to scare me with your HBT boogery, hahahahaaa

like cars... been using glass carboys my whole brewing life with no life threatening injuries... but it could happen!!

Re: carboy straps
I use glass carboys exclusively. I wouldn't min getting some of those 30L buckets though, wouldn't have to worry about blowoff, easier to clean...
I've used the better bottle, but really didn't like the flexibility and scratches (used a stiff plastic bristled brush to clean... whoops )
