Food safe siphon hose

Post by TimG » Sun Jan 29, 2012 10:08 am

Want to pick up some 1/2" ID siphon hose for my new 1/2" auto siphon. Are my only options Stellar (only open typical business hours) and Noble Grape (can you say mark up?)?

I know they have clear hose at Home Depot, Kent, etc.. anybody know if any of these are food safe?

Thanks

Some of the hose at home depot, rona, kent etc are food safe. I usually buy mine from Rona, and I know they have a chart that shows the different uses for each type of hose, as well as if they are food safe. Rona definitely has some food safe hosing that should work for you.

Thanks for the offer, but I went to Rona today and picked some up. Said it was ok for 'potable water' and that is good enough for me.

Now to figure out how to 'unkink' it as it was the last bit on the roll. Thinking hot water running through it for a bit will help (under a bit of pressure).
