I did my first extract brew last night, my first brew at all for that matter, and it was great fun. It was a great way to figure out what I was still missing from my setup. I did an American Amber kit and I am already looking for what to make next.
I got my kit from everwoodavebrewshop.com and it was easy to use and the ingredients seemed great, to a total newb.

Yea those kits are pretty fool proof and a great way to get into the hobby. As for not sure what to brew next, I say try them all. If you are interested in brewing another tasty beer. Try this recipe. Brewed this a few times and it's very tasty.
