Hey everyone, looking for a bit of help here. I did my first batch of a grain beer, just picked up a prepackaged kit for a gallon batch.
I am generally meticulous about cleaning, but looks like I've fooled it up this time.
The batch is a chestnut brown, and this little infection showed up this morning. It had been sitting for two weeks, and I transferred to another carboy before bottling it, and was going to let it sit a few days. See the pictures, there's something growing on the top of it, and suspended throughout. The smell is not off, if anything it seems lighter than before.
It's not a total loss if I toss the beer, it was some good learning - but I would love to save it.. anyone got any thoughts?
Thanks!!
Chris

Tastes fine! Is this something that's common more when you are doing the full grain as opposed to kits? And do you guys bother filtering or anything - or just leave it?

It's normal and every batch can look a little different. If it tastes good keg or bottle and enjoy! I don't filter. Just give the yeast time to do it's job and the right temperature. RBWHAHB
