I use it and love it. I dont' formulate recipes on it, but reference it when weighing out grains, hops and water additions, and also use it for brew day timers.

Use it for everything on the fly. It's great

Ok here's my question then. I do use it to formulate some recipes. When you get to the timer section it gives you strike water volume and it's always about 0.5-0.8 gallons too much. For example it tells me that for 16 lbs of grain at 1.25 qt/lbs to use 5.8 G of strike water rather than the 5 G that it should be. If you go into the mash profile and then click on mash steps it will actually say in there to use 5 G. It's fucking me up.

Maybe it has some setting for dead space in the mash tun? I have had issues with that in beersmith before.

Fucker. Yeah the dead space was set to 0.8 G. Not actually sure what my dead space is but my volumes were always higher by about 0.5 G than predicted on pre-boil volume.

What's the difference between the full and lite versions for mobile? Any pro's con's for each?
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

The lite version doesn't allow you to do any editing I don't believe.

its a separate purchase. i have designed recipes on the mobile app personally i dont like it i design on my laptop and use the mobile for brew day use it to make changes to the recipe, make notes, etc. the greatest thing i like about it is the timers. i think the price difference between the lite and full version is about $5. well worth it if you ask me even though i dont use much more than the timers, but gives you the option if you ever need it

So it saves your notes and records the measurement you take for FG, volumes, etc to the cloud?

Went for it today, looks like i'm going to be very happy with this purchase :rockin:
