getting tubing out of a carboy
Bought some gear off kijiji and the guy threw in a carboy, only problem is that he had shoved some silicone tubing in it for storage
Any thoughts on how to get it out?

Re: getting tubing out of a carboy
first: put a baby mouse in the carboy and feed it until it's big enough to handle the silicon tubing
second: train the mouse to grab the tubing and push it out the top
third: google how to get an adult mouse out of a carboy

Re: getting tubing out of a carboy
Try this: take a bag large enough to fill the space in the carboy, fill it with enough air to allow you to pull the tubing out. It might help to add some sanitizer to the carboy just to make it slippery.

Just make a hook out of a paperclip or something.

Coat hanger and turn it upside down. Tubing will fall closer to the opening and then you need to hook it. Just make sure you bend end of the hanger enough that it doesn't get stuck on the way back out.
