Hey Guys, has anyone seen the weber smokey mountain anywhere. I've called around a bunch of places and they all carry weber grills except the WSM.

Hearth type shops usually carry grills. I bought my Primo at Lawson's Hearth Store in Moncton a couple years ago, they had Weber kettles and a WSM on the floor. Not sure where you are located but there's lots of Hearth-type places around HRM that may carry them too. Plus at smaller private shops a lot of times they'll talk on price a bit.

Here's a start...

I did a bunch of calling around and did find a 22 " at Paderno of all places. I was orginally hoping for a 18.5 " model as I really don't need a huge one and figured i'd just waste a lot of charcoal with it... I couldn't believe none of the Home Depot's or Kent's carry them... they list them on their websites but it's a special order item only. takes weeks to come in.

Home Depot stocked them in Moncton, seems odd they don't here.

They want $450 for the 22.5. I did find the Green Egg at Ultimate Home Comfort, the medium sized model 15 " is $899.99. I think I'd be a bit out of my comfort zone if I went that high... I'll have to mull it over... I'm leaning towards the WSM 22.5 i guess.

PatioPerfectPlus has two 22.5's for $499.

I did 4 racks of back ribs on my performer (Weber kettle) on Canada Day and found it too much of pain to control the temp.. It's hit or miss. Last time I did it, it turned out great and I maintainted a temp of 250 for 5 hours but Fri was brutal, couldn't get the temp down below 300 for 2 hours... :horse: made the ribs a bit tougher then i'd prefer. I really need a smoker to take it to the next level...
