Pork Shoulder (pulled pork)

Post by Eagleray » Wed Nov 20, 2013 12:16 pm

I want to do pulled pork on my egg this Sunday. I think it's a pork shoulder, I'll be looking to pick one up on Saturday. Anybody have any tips and a good place to look for one?

Thanks,

Jason

Whole bone-in pork shoulders at Cash and Carry Wholesale Club for $4/kg. Average around 4 or 5 kg each I think.

I've never found a full butt there, they always cut them into little pieces. They'd gear you up with a call ahead, I'd expect.

I prefer the blade portion. Good bone/fat/meat ratio.
Sobeys has it cheaper than superstore
