IIRC, Virgil Muir is/was in Heavy Meadows. His family also ran the Andre's pizza in Stellarton.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

I met Natalie yesterday and gave her some feedback on takeout food packaging. Super excited to try the offerings from both these food trucks.

Re: Nomad Gourmet
Thanks for all of the support guys!
Here is a quick update on some things.
By Law Changes: Jennifer Watts retracted her motion to council for a formal review. Instead she is sending it to the standing transportation committee for review. This will likely garner results faster and with less fuss than it going through regional council.
Nomad's startup: I have hired my chef (FINALLY!) and am working towards a firm start date. I have to wait for his 2 weeks notice to be up for him to start. That doesn't happen until the 29th. We will need a few days to work on final things if we have not completed them all by then. The soonest you will see us start is the first week of September. About that...
We are booked to vend for the 3 day SummerSonic concert on the Garrison Grounds Sept 7-9th. This is a big event and we will need to take some time to prep for it.
I will be on CTV News tonight at 5pm or so, they did a story on my truck today. We met up at my spot on Argyle Street.

NICE! I was planning on going to one night of Summer Sonic. Other years the food/beer has been complete shit. I'm assuming you'll be within the grounds?

Excited! That Andrew guy is hilarious, "They can do whatever they want, just not around me". Like the blogger they cut to after said, the more the merrier. If you're going out for a work lunch, maybe some people want fish and chips, some want BBQ pulled pork tacos. With the two trucks parked beside each other, the diners can still eat together.

It's interesting that Andrew Baker is scared of competition but Glenn Tait (Bud the Spud) wasn't. Which says to me that Tait knows his fries can handle the challenge, and maybe Baker's can't.chalmers wrote:Excited! Ah, yes. The city just wants to tax the place.
If you want to park you truck in my driveway I expect we could come to a tasty agreement.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
