Actually its the rub, has a fair amount of sugar in it so it carmalizes very well, just got a tad more finished than planned. Thats why i only use it liberally, it will block some of the smoke infusion. Tonight it's Hamburger quiche! Will post later.

Hamburger Quiche I dressed the top of my side with Chilli powder, Cayenne powder, and Pickled Jalpeno pieces. It came out good, but I cut and served it a little early cause we were starving. I like to let it sit up a little more. As a leftover I think it may even be best. Simple, easy meal, to make while working night shifts. Plus i get to take it to work.

Hey X, do you grind your own turmeric? I have a bunch of root, and I love the stuff freshly grated but man is it a PITA. I use a rasp, but it so f''n hard it takes forever just to get a 1/2 tsp. If you do (or anyone else on here) how do you grind it?

I use my spice grinder (el cheapo coffee grinder).

I would worry that I would dull the blades, but I guess that's why you use el cheapo. Off to Can tire later this week I guess.
