If the others reach the minimum limit We can look at that.

Thanks!
Did you hear about a price break at higher weights? Or maybe do a sampler pack of the others?

Oh no! I just noticed this thread blew up. I assume it has all been ordered, I guess I need to adjust my notifications so I know when someone responds to a thread. Also I still don't have access to the group buy thread though I've requested it twice now in the last 2 months.

I should have contacted you and Taylor directly to ensure you saw this. Oops.
You are welcome to split my allotment with Taylor, maybe I could steal a couple of pieces, enough for one smoke? I can replace it with some applewood pieces, from a previous buy referenced in the other thread.

No worries gents, I appreciate the offer but I do have some pieces left for at least a few more cooks.no need to split up what has been ordered. Also on a side note, does anyone know a local source for charcoal chimneys at this time of year? My electric doesn't work so well with my new UDS.

Thanks for handling this Sandman!
I have some back ribs pulled from the freezer to feed to the Kamado tomorrow. Going to use a healthy dose of this peach; I'll let everyone know how it goes!!

The peach wood is nice. Burns super clean, not too fast and plenty of smoke. I can't say I noticed a huge flavour difference from Apple or cherry but maybe a touch sweeter? Awfully glad to have it anyway and would almost certainly buy more from the same source.

If you guys want more I'll add a few lbs to the next peach order. I like the sound of peach wood a lot, as I don't have a ton of smoking experience and I know fruit woods are harder to ruin your meat with compared to the harsher tasting ones.

So this is the premier source for smoking? Is there any special requirements for the wood? I'm curious about that!
Just enjoy my life! Hope to get my
career improved!

Old thread, but I need to get some wood chunks for smoking.
I've always used the chips in my old smoker, but just took possession of my new Kamado Joe!!!
I read about the furniture maker in Beaver Bank, I am going to reach out to them, but looking for more than just Cherry/Oak.
I can't seem to find Smoke Shack online (except in UK).
Anyone know of a good spot?

I have thought of doing maple.oak and fruit tree wood. It is time consuming and a long time till sale so I backed off.
If there is a market (not looking to get rich) for the product I will try. One year is a long time to wait for your wood.

I’ve bought some wood chunks from
http://dicksonbbq.com in the past. I had to email them to request the order since they don’t allow you to purchase it online because of shipping restrictions to some provinces (apparently).

Thanks for the link Jeff. I ordered 4 bags of 5 lb. it was a flat rate shipping, so just 1 bag made it really expensive per pound. When you go to 20lb it didn’t add so much per pound.
My dad has some apple trees, just need to get there to cut a few branches, but as Sandy mentioned, long time before it is ready..
