Head out to Tian phat and go nuts. One of the few places to get Asian basil, when it's in. If you guys would like, I have way too much in NG I can bring up.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Some great authentic tacos from Little Mexico food truck on the Kingston Peninsula, NB.
The beef one was good, but the fish ones were awesome.

Been on a Latin kick lately. These are cachitos, they're like much less buttery croissants, Venezuelan breakfast food.
They're ugly but so tasty, great filled chorizo, Mexican or Latin style meat. These are filled with ham and homemade goat haloom style cheese

I should say, my wife made the pesto with thai basil and garlic (Melody) from our garden. Homegrown garlic is an entirely different beast from the store-bought stuff. I've got four varieties and they're all delicious but definitely different from each other.redoubt wrote:Love all the herbs! I've been making pesto from the basil in my garden.

Neat! I haven't grown garlic yet. Maybe come spring, I could steal some from you to plant if you have any extra?mumblecrunch wrote:I should say, my wife made the pesto with thai basil and garlic (Melody) from our garden. Above food looks amazing!
Redoubt. It's best to plant it in the fall. I've got some of the Red Russian if you want a few bulbs to plant.
