I didn't make this but it was fantastic! Arepa de cazon. It's a cornmeal bun stuffed with shark meat and tomato stew as well as some plain arepas, with beans, rice and Carne mechada and plantain.

Been on a Latin kick lately. These are cachitos, they're like much less buttery croissants, Venezuelan breakfast food.


They're ugly but so tasty, great filled chorizo, Mexican or Latin style meat. These are filled with ham and homemade goat haloom style cheese

I should say, my wife made the pesto with thai basil and garlic (Melody) from our garden. Homegrown garlic is an entirely different beast from the store-bought stuff. I've got four varieties and they're all delicious but definitely different from each other.
