Re: The Official What's Cooking Thread [Food Porn]
Fuck my shit always looks mediocre.
Well after bottling 500ish bottles, my buddy and I found a pound of grassfed beef in the fridge already thawed and ready to go. We hammered it with spices and herbs, then set it on the grill. Dropped an egg yolk on each one. These were backed up with fresh white onion, and Dragons Breath blue cheese. Forced down with some APA!

Also.
From July 1st.
No finished pics, we had company and got way behind.
Full pork loin, center removed, ground, seasoned, and returned. bacon wrapped for goodness. Smoked on Apple wood. This was very rich and went well with the caper, new baby potatoe salad that I made.

Found a fugitive hunk deep in the freezer, along with some bacon. Interesting that it didn't seem freezer burnt at all.

Made pulled pork, smoked sausages, sliders and wings for the family yesterday - once stuff started rolling, there was no time for pics.

Canned 9 jars of Nash pickles last night. Didn't have smoked paprika so I added a 1/4 tsp of Ancho Powder. Going to be hard to wait for Wednesday to try them.

All looking excellent boys!
First couple times I made test batches of the pickles I cracked a bottle the next morning - they were already awesome then!

Made my first batch of pickles in my cobbled together cannery - simple garlic dills, with some tiny onions thrown in too. Next up, IPAckles, gotta get another few pounds of baby cukes first - do any of the standard veg markets have them? (Eg Dave's, Avery's, or Clem's)?

Lookin' good boys!
Those pickles won't be any good - no beer in 'em!
I bought pickling cukes today at the Seaport Market. I'd expect to find them at the other places too, but it is getting late in the season for them.
