Making past in beer...?

Anyone ever try this? I'm cooking up some spaghetti for supper while drinking a beer and thought, hey now... Too late to try it tonight but...

I've never 'making past in beer' but I have cooked a LOT with beer :spilly:

I assume you meant to ask if anyone has boiled dried pasta in beer, the spaghetti line gave it away :lol: I haven't but I've boiled some things in beer, all of which are beneficial to flavour and nutrients. The acidity of beer locks in nutrients and flavour with most things instead of leeching it out like water does, and vegetables don't really take on any flavour but taste better because the goodness hasn't been leeched. So yeah, I've done potatoes and other root veggies of all sorts in beer, good stuff! Rice gets pretty beery, pasta likely does too, give it a whirl and report back! :cheers2:

Hmmm it seems some Citra Nation impaired my ability to type! I will try this next chance I get. I hadn't even considered veggies. I'm actually soaking beans right now to make the recipe I saw you had posted on the nsforsale forum. I'm stoked and pity the poor saps I work with the following day :D
