And I have white bread rising in pans almost ready for the oven.

Think I'll just make up bacon wrapped deep sea scallops for supper tonight if I get another burst of energy.
Can't find the camera to take any pics... drat.
Yeah, pretty distinct flavour. Game taste as you would expect.dexter wrote:Jerky is probably one of my favourite snacks, never had moose I'm assuming is similar to deer but gamier?
I was going to ask what did you want, minced moose or steak for Chalmers to bring over for you, and while I'm at it, what type of meat did you want also Chalmers?canuck wrote:Jerky is one of my favourite snacks as well! I make it fairly often in my dehydrater, but have never used Moose or deer. Would be interesting to try it though.
Tony, I'd love to try moose steak cooked on the grille. If there is anything that you need/want from my area, definitely let me know!Tony L wrote:I was going to ask what did you want, minced moose or steak for Chalmers to bring over for you, and while I'm at it, what type of meat did you want also Chalmers?canuck wrote:Jerky is one of my favourite snacks as well! What type of dehydrater do you have. I went with the 4 tray Excalibur http://www.excaliburdehydrator.com/dehydrators/4-tray" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and it is good enough for my needs.
No worries Tony. I'll cook them rare instead of medium rare.Tony L wrote:Steaks it will be then. The steaks I have are not very thick and won't be good on the grill AFAIK. It will probably be tough.
