Meadowbrook Farm alert/warning/FYI

Post by mr x » Mon Apr 23, 2012 7:44 am

Listeria warning for some Meadowbrook hams
[/b]
The Department of Agriculture has issued a warning not to consume some cooked boneless hams from Meadowbrook Meat Market in Berwick.

The Department warns that some of the meat may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the bacteria that causes listeriosis.

The hams in question were sold at the Meadowbrook Meat Market retail store in Berwick and the Alderney Landing Farm Market in Halifax.

The company is voluntarily recalling all cooked boneless hams with best before dates of April 1 and April 3.

There have been no reported illnesses.
