New member in Spryfield

Hello all,
I recently became interested in starting my own beer. I have a few friends who brew there own and (1) it tastes great, (2) seems like a lot of fun, and (3) the price is right. I picked up some gear and bought a Festa Red wort. Going to start it this weekend, but I still need some bottles (see my other post - I do have some litre bottles that I'll use if I don't get any 500 ml bottles by the time it's done).
There is a lot of discussion on here (and other sites) about the need to rack to secondary with Festa beers. I think I'll do it this time since I don't want to stray too far from the instructions on my first go.
Anyway, it's great to have this forum for questions, advice, buys, etc.
Looking forward to getting my beer going and perhaps chatting with other Brewnosers on this forum.
