Hello Atlantic Brewers!
Hello everyone,
I'm currently brewing in Clayton Park, Halifax. I've been brewing beer for about a year now, started with canned extract and corn sugar and quickly moved on to several extract recipe kits. I recently threw together a mash tun and have stepped it up to all grain. I have a microbiology background so I'm having a lot of fun with my new hobby.
Since I've been buying all my grains and hops at Noble Grape and asking them lots of questions they told me that I would find this forum pretty helpful. Looking through a few posts I can tell that they were right.
Everyone seems really helpful and friendly here and I'm looking forward to any advice I can get and giving advice when I am able.
Cheers!

Re: Hello Atlantic Brewers!

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Welcome Bryan
I've been brewing about the same time as you and I have to agree that everyone at Noble Grape and the Brewnosers have been great.
