HI,

Old guy, new member in Lower Sackville.

I would like to thank the 2 kind gentlemen from Brewnosers I had a quick chat with at the Craft Brew thing at Pier 22 April 01. They encouraged me to have another go at joining after some long-ago difficulties with registering. I made it!

So far have probably 20 batches of BIAB done, and after some heavy soul-searching recently pulled the trigger on a Brewzilla Gen 4 220V so I can brew indoors in winter. I have some pretty serious adjusting to do, but like a lot of the features of this unit. Looking forward to getting it dialled in.

My preferred styles are classic English Bitter, ESB, Peculier, Stout, Brown Ale etc, but will certainly dabble with others.

Hi Pete, welcome! I was one of the guys at the Brewnosers table Saturday afternoon (gentlemen might be stretching things a bit!). I'm glad you managed to get on the forum this time. I'll raise a glass of cask bitter for you next week when I'm back in the UK for a visit.

Naboo, It's 530 am and I'm at the airport, heading to the us for work. Just saw your post and am jealous of your upcoming trip to cask bitter. I've not been to the uk for a few years now, Do you have a particular favourite? I really enjoyed Courage Directors in the past, did not locate it last time.

No particular favourite. Taylor's Landlord is always solid and my local used to have Black Sheep and Deuchars IPA on hand pump which were both excellent beers. I already have tickets for a CAMRA cask beer festival as well so I'll have plenty of choice there!
