I'm back in the saddle

Post by Tony L » Fri Sep 09, 2022 9:09 pm

Hey, it's been a while since I brewed and with all my equipment sold I'm no longer able to do all grain.
But I am drinking a Festabrew West Coast IPA and have another extract brew bubbling away. Glad to be back
at it and trying to keep my doctors advise on consuming too much yeast.

Some of the oldtimers here will know me as back in the day as
I entered some comps under the Brewnosers club name
and I have met a few in person Chris MacDonald for one.

Anyway it's good to be back on the forum.

Great Chris. Not sure if I'll be able to make a meet but we'll see. I am now retired and moved home. It's about an 1 1/2 hr drive into the city at least.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah it's good to be back and active here. I'm brewing an IPA right now
and will probably follow that with another IPA. Needless to say I love AIPA's. Been out of touch with the
brewing community for the last number of years dealing with Dr. issues that for the most part have
been resolved now leaving me free to brew again.

:spilly: :welcome: back
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
