New to the Brew

Post by Brewhaha! » Wed Sep 19, 2018 3:47 pm

Hey guys! My name is Kyle, I live in North End Halifax, and I just picked up a Grainfather off of Kijiji the other week. Already brewed my first batch, a double oatmeal chocolate coffee stout... hopefully it turns out okay! I literally watched like 50 David Heath videos before attempting it, and although I didn't record any data I have a feeling everything went well.

I want to know all there is about brewing. Everything. I am new to this but extremely eager. Seems to be a ton of knowledge here! I'll try to contribute as much as I can!

Cheers!!! :spilly: :cheers2:

:welcome:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
