Long time drinker first time brewer...literally one week into fementing my first batch. Hoping it is turning out.
Been reading a ton to tey and learn what i am doing......working on. An irish red ale to keg for the kegorator which has been sitting idle too long. Sure i will have lots of questions.
Cheers

Cheers! Let us know how it turns out. So exciting having your first one fermenting. I remember my first. I’ve been brewing for about 3 years probably have about 50 batches under my belt. I still think it’s magic every time I see the bubbles in the fermenter. Every time I sprinkle the yeast I always ask myself “I sure hope this turns out”. It always has. Some better than others. You find your own way of doing things. What works and what doesn’t. What’s easier and cleaner. No matter if your using plastic pails or $10,000 fermenters were all doing the same thing. Heating crushed grain to a specific temperature to convert the starches to sugar, then boiling it and adding hops. Then we magical yeast turning the wort into beer! Your process as long as it’s clean and within a wide range of variables will produce beer! I will drink a homebrew any day over a commercial beer. It’s liquid art! Welcome and enjoy the journey!
